At Iventis our development team are constantly adding new features and innovations. We’re announcing a series of major updates to the platform this Winter.
These includes updates to our user interface to make it easier than ever to develop plans and access our powerful features. We’ve also introduced new functionality such as snapping objects while drawing, the ability to change the colour of 3D models and various enhancements to PDF exports.

1: Customisable Colours for 3D Models
Iventis provides the ability to plan using scaled, 3D models. Now, our users can customise the colour of selected 3D models. For example, you can change the colour of cars, tents or barriers.
This can help denote different functions or use-cases of certain assets and infrastructure. For example, vehicles can be coloured depending on which client groups they can be used for.
2: Layer Locking
Locking a layer temporarily prevents it from being edited. This is helpful when working on complex plans with lots of overlapping layers.
For example, you might want to lock a “zones” layer whilst adding icons or other content on top.
3: Enhanced and Simplified Toolbar
We have revamped the main toolbar in the map to make editing your plans even easier. We’ve merged the key functionality from our previous two toolbars into one simple toolbar centred at the top of the screen.
You can easily access key features including:
- Selection tools
- Drawing tools
- Measurement/analysis tools
- Comments
4: Object Snapping
Enable snapping from the new toolbar while drawing to snap different objects together. This allows for more precise drawing where objects need to be aligned such as trade stands, parking spaces, routes and more.
5: PDF Export Enhancements
Our PDF exports have received several major updates including:
- Export PDFs at specific scales (e.g. 1:1250). This is especially helpful when sharing plans which are required at set scales e.g. for planning authorities.
- Customise the title of your PDF in the title block
- Upload your own icon to be displayed in the title block. For example, a customer’s logo
- For multi-floor buildings/venues, the selected level is automatically displayed in the title block
